health clearance

if any of the following apply to you, the services are not recommended...

  • under the age of 18

cannot provide services to anybody under 18

  • pregnant and/or lactating

you will be more prone to infections and the results might be unpredictable

  • currently on accutane

accutane makes your skin super thin, dry, and sensitive. it also weakens your immune                                              system. making you a bad candidate for my services

  • has diabetes (due to slow healing and infection, color may or may not retain well)
  • have skin condition on/near the treatment area

conditions like psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, rosacea may lead to uncertain results

  • allergic to pigmentation and/or makeup
  • allergic to lidocaine or epinephrine (numbing agents)

we can still proceed with the lip blush tattoo, but no numbing creams will be used

  • epileptic or has experienced faint spell or seizure
  • taking skin medication such as actuate or steroids
  • with glaucoma and/or taking blood thinning medicines
  • with skin diseases on the treatment area (ex. eczema or psoriasis)
  • with active skin cancer on the treatment area
  • with undiagnosed rashes or blisters on treated area
  • with transmittable blood conditions (ex. HIV/AIDS or Hepatitis)
  • with mitral valve disorder or high blood pressure
  • with healing disorders
  • with thyroid/graves disease
  • with auto-immune disease
  • who is a hemophiliac
  • currently under or scheduled for radiotherapy or chemotherapy

important information

  • if you are prone to cold sores, please take an anti-viral medication like valtrex 3 days prior to your appointment

  • if you smoke, color may not retain properly

  • any radiotherapy or chemotherapy cannot be less than 42 days from the date of our scheduled service treatment

please note that even if you qualify for lip blush or hyapen, the results cannot be 100% guaranteed as every person's skin is different and may retain/heal unpredictably.

most of the time, the results will turn out well. however, there might be a chance that the results can differ due to skin type, healing, and bleeding during the procedures

pre & after care instructions (lip blush/hyapen)

pre care

after care

after care

for both lip blush & hyapen

  • for those prone to cold sores, please take prescribed anti-viral medicine (ex. valtrex) 3 days prior to treatment
  • exfoliate & moisturize your lips with lip scrub and aquaphor 3-5 days prior to appointment (if you do not, your lips may not take in the products as well as if you did)
  • avoid fish oils, aspirin, ibruprofen, vitamin e or any other blood thinning medications for at least 2 weeks
  • avoid coffee/tea (caffeine) and alcohol for 1 week
  • hydrate with water!!! the more hydrated you are, the longer the hyaluronic acid lasts on the lips
  • discontinue any vitamin a skin care products (retin-a, retinols) close to the enhancement area at least two weeks prior to your procedure. **I DO NOT recommend using these products over or around the tattooed area after you receive your cosmetic tattoo. It could cause fading and distortion of color**
  • do not exercise the day of treatment
  • schedule around your menstrual cycle since you will be more sensitive if you are on the cycle

for lip blush

  • if you are currently on accutane, you cannot receive the treatment. you must wait at least 1 year before you're cleared to get the procedure done
  • if you've been tanning, please wait a minimum of 1 month before the procedure can be done. you cannot use tanning beds until after 1 month after the procedure as well
  • if you have previous lip fillers, you must wait a minimum of 4 weeks in order to receive lip blush
  • if you had botox on/around the treatment area, you must wait a minimum of 2 weeks to receive lip blush
  • if you had a chemical peel, please wait a minimum of 1 month in order to receive lip blush
  • if you had laser facials, please wait a minimum of 1 month in order to receive lip blush
  • *** note, every client's pain tolerance is different. if you have extremely low pain tolerance, you can take a painkiller before your treatment

for hyapen

  • if you got lip blush, you must wait a minimum of 2 weeks in order to get hyapen
  • try to avoid saunas, flying, or anything that may dehydrate you 1 week prior to your appointment (especially the day of your treatment)

*** if you had a previous lip tattoo done, please contact me and let me know prior to booking an appointment. failure to do so will result in a rebooking fee of $150

*** if you do not follow these pre-care instructions and we need to reschedule/cancel your appointment the day of, you will be charged a rebooking/cancellation fee of $150

after care

after care

after care

for both lip blush & hyapen

  • no kissing 😗🙅🏻‍♀️ for lip blush, until you lips are fully healed and there's no more peeling. for hyapen, for 5 days.

your boo's gonna want to kiss you, but you gotta resist!

  • avoid working out and sweating (gyms, saunas, excessive sun or heat, etc) until healing is complete. i would recommend at least 1.5-2 weeks for lip blush and 3-5 days for hyapen
  • drink a ton of water for 2-7 days! the more hydrated you are, the better your results will be
  • do not get food or liquid on treatment area (drink with a straw, cut your foods into small pieces and eat with a fork)
  • avoid oily, spicy, and highly salted foods for 5 days!
  • be gentle on treatment area until healing is complete

for lip blush

  • do not wear any lipstick until lips are healed
  • no swimming until fully healed. if you do, your pigment may fade or change color
  • keep it moisturized at all times with the a&d ointment i provide to you after the session. after that is used up or healing is complete, keep it moisturized with your favorite lip balm until your lips are healed (i highly recommend aquaphor with spf)
  • i do not recommend using vitamin a products over or around the tattooed area after the procedure. it could cause fading and/or distortion of color
  • when showering, do not stand under shower head and wash face without wetting the treatment area until peeling is complete
  • make sure a&d ointment is on your lips to protect your lips from the water when showering

day 1

  • wet a clean paper towel with sterile water to clean your lips. there might be lymph fluids on your lips on your first day and you will need to clean this or else they might turn into scabs
  • the less scabbing and peeling, the better your results will be!

day 2-7

  • put on a thin layer of a&d ointment every couple hours
  • do not pick scape or dry areas that appear. let them heal themselves

for hyapen

  • bumps/bruises are normal and should subside within a few days, but can last up to 2 weeks
  • if you like the bumps/bruises to reduce, please use an ice pack to ice the area or arnica oil/pills to
  • if you are prone to cold sores, it is recommended to take a prescribed anti-viral medicine 3 days before your treatment in order to increase the prevention of bumps and reaction

*** know that every client's body is different. the healing and results will differ per client. do not be disappointed if your body does not take the lip blush or hyapen as other clients body's do. we can work towards and achieve the look you want together! patience is a virtue
